Whether traveling America’s highways or wandering the halls of the Doubletree Hotel at Ontario Airport, you can always count on kind words, open, honest discussion and a warm welcome from our nation’s truckers.

During the California Construction Trucking Association’s summer board meeting at the Ontario Doubletree Hotel, Peggy Mew, a hard working Californian and “true grit” Patriot, was collecting signatures for the repeal of Senate Bill (SB) 48 when UCLA Professor Jim Enstrom (whistleblower on California Air Resources Board -CARB) came to the table asking, “Do you know where the truckers are meeting?” 

Peggy responded, “Truckers, where?!”

Having heard Warren and Pam Duffy speak about “Cap and Trade” at Tea Parties, Republican organizations, and various other groups, Peggy knew the trucking industry would be the first to be drastically impacted by the state government’s latest scam and she had hopeful information to share with them.

Knowing more about CARB’s underbelly than probably anyone, Jim encouraged Peggy to join him in locating the trucker’s meeting place and share her information. With a welcome big as the Montana sky, Peggy was asked to come back in 10 minutes and they would get approval and alter their agenda to hear the news. 

Peggy shared that “CARB is holding a ‘dry run’ carbon credit auction August 15th in preparation for the real auction to be launched on an unsuspecting public November 14, 2012. In joining Friends for Saving California Jobs, Pam and Warren Duffy are organizing a protest rally (see CCTA website) and their own fake Carbon Credit Auction on the steps of the Capitol, August 15, 2012 from 11 to 1 p.m.”  “You have to be there!” Peggy concluded.

“Cap and Trade” is not about truckers only, but ALL Californians! Its negative impact on jobs and families will be devastating.  This is not about oil companies or the environment, but rather money for government and those in the ‘green job industry’(many union jobs).  If you think the state addicts will use the money to dig California out of debt….THINK AGAIN!  Al Gore is pegged to become the first Carbon Credit BILLIONAIRE!

Following the first “Earth Day” in 1970, environmentalists predicted a coming Ice Age and instilling fear of mankind’s extinction before the 1990s.  The Ice Age never happened so it morphed into “Global Warming”. When the globe didn’t warm, they came up with “Climate Change” and the scam of Cap and Trade to charge us, literally, for the air we breathe.
Since the California Global Warming “Final” Solutions Act was passed in 2006, the concept of carbon auctions, higher diesel prices, food prices, utility prices and still higher unemployment seemed unlikely, especially with California’s horrible economic landscape.  But with the failure of Prop 23, Governor Brown ignoring his ability to suspend the law, and the Legislature not enacting their capacity to repeal the law, CARB’s implementation of carbon credit auctions is moving forward…fast and furious.

When politicians feel the heat…they see the light.  Fellow Californians need to close ranks and make our voices heard!  Join the founders of Friends for Saving California jobs and 1000+ of their closest friends to tell the Governor, Legislature and CARB, “STOP CAP AND TRADE NOW!”  Sacramento - August 15, 2012 – 11 to 1 p.m.
